MAGUIRE VOLUMETRIC EXTRUDER FILLING FEEDER

Volumetric screw dosing units dispense material into the neck of the filling zone of the extruder. They are mounted between the hopper or blender and the extruder. They partially flood the inlet part of the screw and all the material that is fed into the extruder by the unit is processed by the extruder. They prevent the escape of excess material through the deaeration zone of the extruder, allow the escape of volatile vapors already at the entrance to the extruder, reduce the torque of the extruder and improve the conditions of cooling and sliding of the material in the screw. They do not require material calibration.
