Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) from company Mobile Industrial Robots - MiR are designed for logistics operations within production processes. Although AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) consists of much more advanced technologies than AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle, Automatic Guided Vehicle), it is usually a cheaper solution. MiR does not need wires, magnetic tapes or other costly modifications to the building infrastructure. Implementation is faster and cheaper and without disrupting production processes. Because MiR can be put into operation quickly and easily, it brings an almost immediate increase in efficiency. With low start-up costs and process optimization, it offers a fast return on investment.
